RaymondMICKLEWRIGHTMr Raymond Micklewright, of Churchtown Crescent, Bacup died suddenly at home on Tuesday, March 31, aged 88. Born in Irlam, Manchester, Ray, as he was known, came to live in Bacup 25 years ago. He was employed as a maintenance store keeper at the Co-operative Building in Manchester for many years. Ray enjoyed numerous cruises with his friend John and some of their friends, he also liked painting, going for meals and socialising. He leaves his very good friend John, brother Vincent, brother-in-law George, nephews, nieces and numerous friends. A service followed by cremation was held at Burnley on Thursday, April 16 at 12.15pm, conducted by Mr Peter Goulding. Family flowers only, donations in lieu to Cancer Research c/o funeral director Anthony Johnson Funeral Services Ltd, 39-41 Market Street, Bacup.
