I am so sad to hear of Franks passing. I was privileged to work alongside Frank on the District Committee of the TGWU for many years. He was a very committed trade unionist and a great and kind person. He will be sadly missed. My condolences to all of his family and friends.

“l have known Frank for nearly 50 years, originally as a referee in both school and amateur football At that time we didn’t always see eye to eye but we struck up a friendship which was to last a lifetime. Our paths crossed again in the 90’s at Kay Park Bowling Club when Frank as President did me the honour of asking me to be his vice- president. We got on great for many years tillFrank eventually left the Club. However our friendship continued and you always knew where you stood with him.He was not a man to mince his words but he was a good friend whom you could always rely on. Later we would regularly meet Frank around the town and enjoy a good blether. Frank loved putting the world to rights. In recent times he had a long hard struggle with his health but all the time in hospital he had an amazing spirit and still loved a blether even when he hardly had a breath. We will sadly miss you Frank. Rest in peace.
