The obituary notice of Peter MILTON-THOMPSON

Mr Peter as I knew him when he used to help me with my reading at Seal St Lawrence was a wonderfully warm, kind and friendly gentleman. I will always remember him, the joy of reading he shared with me and especially the fun times we would have playing the dice game “Pass the Pigs” after reading each week. Searching for an apposite quote with which to close my tribute, I came across the following quote from Kate DiCamillo which I feel sums up Mr Peter’s approach perfectly: "Reading should not be presented to children as a chore, a duty. It should be offered as a gift." Thank you Mr Peter.
