MaryMINARDMINARD Peg (Mary Margaret) 24.04.1925 - 17.02.2008 It is with great sadness that the family announce the death of Peg, aged 82 years on February 17, 2008 at Morlais Ward, St Tydfil's Hospital after a long illness bravely fought. Peg was the dearly beloved wife of 58 years to Tom, mother to Colin, Ian and the late Anthony, mother-in-law to Susan and Fay and Nan to Catherine, Kerry, Rhys, Carwyn, Gareth and Leanne and beloved great-Nanna to Ellie. The funeral service was held at St Benedicts Church, Merthyr Vale followed by the interment at Cefn Cemetery, Merthyr Tydfil. BEARERS: Gareth Minard, Rhys Minard, Carwyn Minard (grandsons) and Paul Brogden (nephew). The family were overwhelmed by the amount of people who turned up to pay their last respects to Peg and would like to thank you all for your kind words, cards and supports during this sad time. FLORAL TRIBUTES: Tom, Colin and Susan, Ian and Fay, Catherine, Gareth and Leanne, Rhys and Aimee, Carwyn, Kerry and Michael, Ellie, Joan and Chris (sister and brother-in-law), Patty and Viv (sister and brother-in-law), Sheila and Brian (neighbours). Donations in lieu of flowers have totalled £530 to date and will be donated to the Chest Development Fund, whose staff cared for Peg for many years. Special thanks go to the Staff on Ward 10, Prince Charles Hospital, Staff at Morlais Ward, St Tydfil's Hospital, the District Nurses, Initial Response Team, Staff at Doctor Lockes Surgery and Aberfan Pharmacy for looking after Peg so well in her last few years. Thanks also to Martine, of Gilbert James & Sons for her professional and caring help during this difficult time. Peg's illness was bourne with great courage and dignity and throughout this time she never lost her sense of humour and was always ready for a laugh and a joke. Peg is now at peace and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
