MavisMITCHELLMrs Mavis Mitchell, of Hyacinth Close, Helmshore, passed away on Monday, June 8 at Royal Blackburn Hospital, aged 88. Mavis owned a chip shop on Bury Road with husband Donald which they ran for 20 years until their retirement in 1990. Her family would like to thank Royal Blackburn Hospital and Danesmoor Care Home for the care of our mum. Wife of the late Donald, she was mother to Christine, Heather and Debbie, and mother-in-law to Paul, Jan and Mark. She was also grandmother to Lee, Joanne, Daniel, Lauren, Mitchell and Thomas, and great-grandmother to Josh and Kaitlyn. The funeral service took place at 12.20pm on Monday, June 15 at Accrington Crematorium. Donations if desired to Christies Hospital. Funeral director: Dawn Winfield for Fred Hamer Funeral Service.
