The obituary notice of David MITCHELL

David & Hils were the parents I wish I'd had.
The acceptance of me into his and the families lives was a wonder to me, a gauky, spotty teenager.
Yes David was great at the practical jokes. I knew there would be the apple-pie bed but the buttons as well, was a master-stroke!
I wasn't particularly fond of his hangover cure - Opera!!
He was a great conversationalist, joker & friend & most of all he loved his family.

David was a truly wonderful man. His dry sense of humor used to have Stewart and I in fits of laughter. Hilary and David made Stewart and I feel so welcome when we moved to Kynnersley and we loved spending time with both Hilary and David in particular, hearing all of David's stories. Love to all of the family. David will be forever in our hearts xx

Uncle David was always full of fun, I remember so vividly our Boxing Day Mitchell get togethers, so much noise and so much fun. I remember you used to have this pipe that you would smoke at Christmas. I remember love, laughter and family. Dad loved you so very much and it makes my heart lighter thinking of you both together now. With love always Amanda Lloyd (Mitchell)

Thinking of you all. Fond memories of David - he had such a good sense of humour and air of mischief about him. Hilary and he made us so welcome when we moved into the village. Fantastic company and we enjoyed putting the world to rights over a glass of wine.
He will be sorely missed.
