Andrew BairdMITCHELL(Andy) passed away peacefully on May 2, 2026 at Glan Clwyd Hospital, Rhyl, North Wales. He was 92 years old.
Andy is survived by his wife, Kathleen, with whom he shared a long and happy life. He was a loving and supportive father to Elaine (Ted Walsh), Heather (Randy Goodleaf), Nicholas (Tanya Hill), and Sarah (Bruno Soucy), and a proud grandfather to Kay (Nick), Philippa (Andrew), Chloe and Tristan. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
Andy was born in Liverpool, emigrated to Canada in 1970, where he lived with his family in Toronto, Ontario and Fredericton, New Brunswick. Andy and Kathleen then retired to Rhos-on-Sea, Conwy, North Wales, where they recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.
A service to celebrate Andy's life will be held on May 21, 2026 at 12:00 noon at the Rhos-on-Sea United Reformed Church with a reception to follow. If friends and loved ones wish, donations in Andy's memory may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation, both in the UK and in Canada.
