Reverend Dr StanleyMONKHOUSEPassed away suddenly on 11th August 2023, aged 73. He is survived by his wife Susan, daughter Victoria, son Edward and granddaughter Abigail, predeceased by his eldest son Hugh. A funeral service will be held at St Pauls Church, Burton upon Trent on Thursday 7th September at 2.15pm. A memorial service in Ireland will follow with a date to be confirmed. I have just seen the sad news about Stanley. Was thinking that he had not put any posts on Facebook recently so googled his name. I was at school with Stanley and although he was 5 years older than me we knew each other through our love of music. Stanley was a very talented organist and musician. I ended up having a career in music. We connected on Facebook a few years ago and also exchanged a few messages. My thoughts go out to Susan who I also remember from school and hearing her singing beautifully in a school opera Down in the Valley. So pleased that we connected if a bit late in the day.
