Hi Peter,

Yesterday we said goodbye to you and it was very hard. But I know you’ll be proud of what we did for you. It was an honour to be a part of the service and carry you in with my brothers. To be honest with you though, you’d have hated it because there was a load of people and you’d have had no seat lol. There was so many people for you there, mate! I hope you realised how much you meant to people.

Debbie did an incredible eulogy for you and I know you’d have been in awe of how brave she was. We were all taken aback, the strength she has is amazing and I know you knew that more than anybody. I got up and read a poem for you as well; I think you would’ve liked it. It was hard to get up and do it but I’m happy I did. I wouldn’t have been able to do that if I hadn’t learned that resiliency from your amazing wife.

Thank you for everything, Peter. You’ve done so much for us even when the challenges got really tough. You never had to do any of it but you always did and we’ll forever be grateful. You guided us all whenever we needed you.

Don’t worry about Josh and Deb, I’ll look after them. I’ll make sure they’re okay. I’m gonna miss you mate. It’s been emotional.

Pete so many laughs at work and nights out and a shoulder to cry on through some of life’s ups and downs. You were an amazing man and will be missed more than I think you ever realised by so many. Who’s going to take the mick out of my granny cardies now? Rest in peace mate x

Dear Pete,
We are shocked and saddened at your sudden loss.
You were an integral member of our Dads group. I first met you at a children’s party in D’ton. Thereafter we met many times, at school, at children’s parties and later, at our own gatherings. Four Dads who became firm friends, a wider circle of our wives and ever present our children.
You were bright, funny, sweet and cool. Our meetings shall never be the same again. We miss you. We shall always miss you.

All our love,
Brian, Dawn, Max and Louis
