SheilaMOOREThe family of Sheila Moore would like to announce the peaceful passing of their beloved Mum, Gran and Great Gran on Monday 7th October 2024.
Her family were everything to her but her passion was for teaching children. For many years she ran one of the most respected nurseries in Leicester before family commitments saw her move to supply teaching, then later into homeschooling troubled or otherwise ignored pupils. Eventually she settled at John Ellis School where she taught English for many years. She may have been "just a teacher" to some, but to others she was a mentor and helped many pupils and young teachers alike.
She was renowned at her scrabble, bridge and bowling clubs as a formidable and competitive player! Sheila greatly enjoyed an active social life with her many friends and she indulged her love of travel whenever she could.
More than anything she was known for her compassionate and caring nature. She had a wonderful unique voice and freely gave of her time, love support and advice.
She will be sorely missed by her whole family but leaves a legacy of love, laughter and happy memories; peaceful in the knowledge that she is once again with her dear husband George.
The family would like to thank all at Baron's Court care home and the Anstey Funeral Directors for the care and consideration of their mum, Sheila
