Jerry Morris was my music teacher from 1966-1972. He was a true inspiration to me and he introduced me to the delights of Gilbert and Sullivan, among many other types of music. My continuing interest in the subject has without doubt been down to his influence. I am truly grateful for being lucky enough to be taught by this true gentleman.
Condolences to his family.
Richard.

Sending our love to Pat and Ben, as they celebrate the life of their much-loved and missed Jerry, who I remember as a dignified, cultured, quirky (in the very best way) and generous-spirited man xx

Special memories of attending the Arnold Hill School Christmas Carol Concerts with my lovely Mum, which were so fabulously conducted by Mr Morris! The magic and spirit of Christmas came alive and we adored Hark the Herald Angels Sing.

Mr Morris, ‘May flights of angels sing thee to thy rest’ - Horatio (Hamlet, William Shakespeare)

We are thinking of Pat and Ben and their extended family.

Sending much love, Fiona and Eric xxxx

Mr Morris, music teacher became my friend Jerry and what a wonderful, unwavering friend he was. I have so many lovely memories of him but now he has passed I will always imagine him conducting his way across the heavens. Farewell Jerry, the Great Man! Robin
