The obituary notice of David Michael Allen MORRISON

I had the pleasure of sitting next to David at SJP for the past 8 seasons. In fact we swopped seats so I could be next to friends. Always a mine of information, always vocal and very passionate. Only wish he’d been there for the Spurs game under new ownership, he used to hug me like a giant bear when we scored. Miss you mate.

David, my dear dear friend. It’s with a heavy heart I write this. I can’t believe it. I have only just heard the sad news of your passing this morning. I will always remember the times of laughter we shared, through our years at work and after we ‘retired’, and especially our mutual love of quizzes. We never did fit in that ‘post lockdown’ lunch - at least we had one just beforehand. Rest well my friend.

So sorry to hear the sad news. Always was hugely entertaining company. All the best.

Myself and the other members of the North-East Sports Quiz League have been stunned by the news of David's passing. He was a smashing lad, universally like and respected, possessed a remarkable depth of sporting knowledge, a great competitor but always friendly and sporting to the opposition. The members of the League, and also the members of the Woking Sports Quiz League, send their condolences to David's family.

One of the really good guys, gone long before his time. If there were more people like David, the world would truly be a better place. Oxana and family you are in our thoughts and prayers. Tim & Faustina.
