StellaMORTONIt is with sadness that we announce the passing at age 87 of Stella Govan Morton on October 18, 2023.
Stella passed peacefully in the company of close friends and neighbours. She is predeceased by her parents, Robert and Annie, and her brother John. A lifelong resident of Prestwick, Stella contributed to the community over many years of dedicated service as a teacher and principal in the Ayrshire education system. Before her retirement several years ago, she was head teacher of Forehill Primary School. Stella is survived by her beloved Labrador Charlie, her niece Jane, nephews Andrew and John, and their families.
The family wishes to express its sincere appreciation and thank you to Stella's many friends, neighbours and caregivers who provided support and companionship over many years, particularly during the latter part of Stella's life.
A funeral service will be held at Masonhill Crematorium at 9:45a.m. on Friday, November 3, 2023.
