James came into our lives nearly 40 years ago. He and my mother (Margaret) fell in love and stayed in love for all their time on this Earth. He also helped and supported my late sister during tough times in her life. I had the greatest respect for James he had a good heart and yes at times his honesty could be pointed. He became me and my sisters "Dad too" which was our affectionate play on words. Most importantly he was Pappa to Nicky, Ally and Joshua having a huge influence in their upbringing. Our love for James grew to where he was our true Dad and Pappa. James will always remain in our hearts.

James will be missed by the many members of the extended Kerr and Milroy families in Montana and the western U.S. He visited many times over the years, both with our cousin Margaret and on his own after her passing. He was also so welcoming when the American cousins came over for a visit. James was a tough old soldier with a heart of gold, always ready with a story and a laugh. He will be greatly missed.
