BernardMYERSCOUGHMr Bernard Myerscough, of Hawthorn Avenue, Oswaldtwistle and Springhill Care Home, Accrington, died on Sunday, January 31, aged 88. Bernard was a carpenter and joiner, spending much of his life working for Spencers of Accrington, and later became a self-employed joiner builder. He was a keen football player in his youth, and enjoyed watching his sons and grandsons play football in later years. Bernard also enjoyed his daily walks, and liked doing crosswords. He leaves wife Shirley Myerscough, sons Tony, Paul, Mark and Peter Myerscough, and daughter Lynn Brown, nee Myerscough. The funeral will be held on Monday, February 22, at 11.40am at Accrington Crematorium, led by Neil Overton. No flowers please; donations can be made to Alzheimer’s Society c/o funeral director Hyndburn Funeral Services.
