DavidNEEDHAMPeacefully at home on September 12th surrounded by his loving family, David aged 61 years. Loved and adored partner of Bernadette, greatly loved dad of Casey and Abbie, cherished grandad of Todd. Also loved by Jack (Abbie's Partner), Bernie's children and grandchildren and also close friends Mark and Martin. David shall be loved and missed by many.

Service and cremation to take place on Tuesday September 26th in the chapel of St Bede, Teesside Crematorium at 11.00am. Would friends please meet at the crematorium chapel.

Family flowers only please by request. Donations in lieu if so desired to Cancer Research UK. A collection box shall be available after the service. All enquiries to

One of my best friends David Needham sadly passed away after bravely battling cancer. I had the pleasure of working and getting to know Dave over the last 20 plus years.
He taught me and many other chefs so much in the kitchen and in life,
I had some great memories and laughs with him over the years.
I will miss you loads my Friend, Thanks for everything Dave,
Top Chef, Great Guy and best friend!

You told me 15 years ago being with a Chef would be a difficult life.
You have only been gone a week but I know life without my Chef will be much more difficult .

My incredible Dad, I’m still in disbelief that you’re no longer here. A man who was an inspiration to so many and was moved greater than words can say.
I’ll miss being able to pop in and have a chat with you and your messages and positivity that always kept me going.
Memories of summers at grandma and grandads, visiting numerous places and your great love of music will stick with me forever.
