John (Jock)NEILSONPeacefully on 17th January (aged 98 years) Jock made his final journey on Wednesday 27th January to Daldowie Crematorium and is now with his beloved Ruby. An HONEST man here lies at rest, As e'er God with his image blest; the friend of man, the friend of truth, The friend of age, and guide of youth: Few hearts like his, with virtue warm'd, Few heads with knowledge so informed; If there is another world, he lives in bliss; If there is none, he made the best of this. Jock's family would like to express their heartfelt thanks for all the messages of sympathy, support and cards received following Jocks passing and to those friends and neighbours who were able to be present at the celebration of his life, along with those who watched the service online. Thanks also to the staff of Hairmyres and Stonehouse Hospitals, to his personal carers who supported him, and to T A FYFES/ Bert for the service arrangements. Thanks also to the Rev Ross Blackman for the tribute to Jocks life. A special mention to neighbours Bunty and Joe for all the help and support given to Jock over the years. Forever in our hearts.
