Passed away peacefully at Home Park Road Loughborough on the 24th August 2026 aged 82 years
Ron will be sadly missed by his wife Yvonne, his sons Anthony, Vincent, Bryan and Richard, their Wives and partners also his many grandchildren and his many friends from over his years.
Ron a Surrey gentleman enjoyed an interesting life joining the boy's army at 16 years old and serving Queen and Country around the world for 13 years. He then worked installing communications at race meetings for the Horse Racing Tote Board during this time he met Yvonne who he married in 1974. They then moved to Loughborough where he worked in the Brush Machine Shop for 28 years during which time he took a course in bricklaying at Loughborough College to enable him to do some building at home and in his later years with a team of his sons in various trades of the building industry enjoyed renovating homes.
Ron funeral service will be held at Loughborough Crematorium at 3-30 pm on Thursday 24th of September 2026.
Followed by a continued celebration of his life by family and friends at the Manor House at Quorn, Woodhouse Road Quorn where donations will be collected for his favoured charity the World Wildlife Fund, donations may also be made through this Funeral Notice below.
