Rhoda JuneNEWTONRhoda June Newton (also known as June Bevan). Passed away on 12th December 2022, aged 87 years, at the Brynfield Manor Nursing Home, Swansea. Much loved mother of sons Vince and Nick, and daughters Philippa, Karen and Mandy, along with ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Born in Barnsley in 1935, Rhoda had a short career in the army before marrying Philip Bevan and moving to Swansea, where all five children were born. While managing a family life, which included living in New Zealand and Greece, she also modelled for a national magazine, before establishing an extensive career in nursing, eventually retiring due to injury. With love we remember. Church service at St. James' Church, Walter Road, Swansea SA1 4QF, on Tuesday 10th January at 12.15pm. Followed by a committal service at Llanelli Crematorium at 2:00pm.
