SamuelNICHOLLMr Samuel James Nicholl (‘Sammy’), of Accrington, died suddenly at his home on Thursday, July 1, aged 69. The devoted husband of the late Maureen Young, loved and loving dad of Tracy, Vicky, Wendy, Bobbie-Joe, Donna and Wayne, a cherished grandad, dear brother of Isobel and John, and also a well respected relative and good friend to many. Sammy spent his working life in various local factories until his early retirement due to ill health. He was a very well known and popular local character who could often be seen out in town meeting up with his many friends. Sammy loved his holidays and each year he would visit his favourite destination, Benidorm, where he would enjoy meeting up with his friends for some rest and relaxation in the warm sunshine. A keen animal lover, Sammy has had many companion dogs and cats over the years and he leaves behind his adored dog Marley. Most of all, Sammy was a devoted family man who loved to spend time with those closest to him. Sammy’s funeral service was held at Accrington Crematorium on Wednesday, July 14. Donations in memory of Sammy are being gratefully received on behalf of the RSPCA Altham c/o Champfunerals.com/ obituaries.
