John ThomasNIXOn 16th June 2026 John passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, aged 90 years old. Former Director of Social Services for North Tyneside. Former Founder & Owner of an Outstanding Residential Care Home Company. Beloved husband of Sandra, adored father of Amanda and Rebecca, loving father-in-law of Andy, devoted grandad of Maisy, Nathaniel and Noah, much loved brother of Arthur and brother-in-law of Joan. John will be greatly missed by all his loving family and friends.

The funeral service and cremation will take place at Oakworth Crematorium on Friday 10th July at 11:30am.

Family flowers only please but donations in memory of John would be appreciated to the Gurkha Welfare Trust. A donation box will be provided at the service for this purpose or maybe made online at www.gallagherfamilyfunerals.co.uk via the Tribute & Donations page.
