I first met Mike in the Met Police 1987.....when I became the trainee to his radio engineer...... I carried his bags in the field and in M&S....where we seemed to spend a lot of time with him trying to match suits, shirts & ties.....

I last saw him at BAPCO in Islington some years ago....but he was the same fun chap that hadn't changed over that long time.....

I feel proud to have known him and it was a great pleasure to havecseen him progress his career soo well

you'll never be forgotten

Two weeks have passed since the service and it’s still hard to believe you’re not around any more, Uncle Mike. I will always remember you as a figure larger than life, a man who loved his family and was loved by all who had the privilege of having you in their life. It was incredibly touching speaking to Andy at the funeral and hearing about your energy for bringing everyone at work along with you for the ride as a leader and a friend, a story that was an unsurprising reaffirmation of your best qualities that I saw as a part of our family every Christmas time. Our world certainly seems quieter now without your infectious enthusiasm for living life to its fullest, but I will always be grateful for the happy memories together. Rest in peace Mike and lots of love.

What a gift it was to have had the opportunity to get to know you, you were such a gentleman with great conversation, good sense of humour and always a pleasure to spend time with; I'm just so sorry your new chapter was so short when your future plans were so exciting and big. Rest in peace love Julie and the little old man xx
