Geoff ThomasNOWELLGeoff Thomas Nowell, formerly of Accrington, suddenly passed away at his home in Lytham St Annes on November 6, aged 43 years. Geoff was born and raised in Accrington, he attended Peel Park Primary School before moving onto finish his education at Moorhead High School. Geoff didn’t care too much for school and thoroughly loved it when the school day was over. Upon leaving education, Geoff secured himself an apprenticeship at Lupton Place in Burnley as a trainee engineer before serving in the Navy. He then went on to work for British Aerospace in Warton, he loved his work and many friendships were formed. Geoff was the most doting dad to his boys, he thoroughly loved spending time with them. Geoff had a passion for music, he was a drummer in the band Gridlock and they played various gigs all over the North West and Roy Orbison was his idol, he loved listening to his music. Whilst at home Geoff loved nothing more than being cosy in front of his open fires, he had three of them installed at his home. Geoff will be remembered for his love of his family, his passion of music and his bubbly sociable personality. The loving dad of Stan and Tommy, adored son of Anne and the late Barry, loved brother of Peter, devoted uncle of Alfie and also a good friend and work colleague to many. His funeral will be held on Thursday, November 24 at Accrington Crematorium, Burnley Road, Accrington BB5 6HA. Led by The Salvation Army Major Lorraine O’Neill and Lianna Champ.
