StephenNUTTALLMuch loved and devoted father, grandfather, and loyal friend, Mr Stephen Nuttall, of Helmshore Road, Haslingden, passed away at home on Saturday, September 18, aged 69, with his daughters by his side. Steve grew up in Rawtenstall with his late brother Tony, and attended St Mary’s Primary School, Rawtenstall followed by Lea Bank, Higher Cloughfold, concluding his education at Bacup and Rawtenstall Grammar School. He met his late wife Joan whilst working at HM Inspectors of Taxes, before going on to work for ITT/ Yellow Pages where his strong work ethic and conscientious approach saw him achieve the prestigious position of Premier Accounts Manager, earning many awards in recognition of his professional achievements. A keen sportsman, Steve enjoyed both football and cricket, playing for several local teams and was an avid supporter and season ticket holder of Burnley FC since attending his first match as a young boy. Steve always loved spending time with family, enjoying weekends in Grasmere and walking locally with family and close friends. Nothing anyone asked of him was ever too much trouble. He leaves daughters Joanne and Lisa, and grandchildren George, Arthur, and Agatha. His funeral will be held on Friday, October 8, when Mr Neil Overton will conduct the service at Accrington Crematorium at 2.20pm. Family flowers only; donations to Rossendale Hospice and the Ruth Strauss Foundation. Funeral director: Caroline HoldenDewhurst for Johnson, Durning & Woods, Haslingden
