MerylOADESIn loving memory of Meryl Oades (nee Renshaw) born in Derbyshire on 11th December 1933. Passed away peacefully on 23rd January 2022 at the age of 88, after a prolonged illness. Much loved wife of the late John Martyn Oades, mother and grandmother. Meryl began her professional life as a nurse in Sheffield and moved to St Austell in 1968 with her family. She continued her career as a lecturer at Mid-Cornwall College of Further Education and helped in the development and running of childcare, pre-nursing, medical secretarial and BTEC courses. In retirement she continued her involvement in the British Red Cross, St John's Ambulance volunteers and was a long-term active member of Soroptomist International, St Austell & District for which she was elected as President in 1993-94. Funeral is to be held at St Paul's Parish Church, Charlestown on Wednesday 9th February 2022 at 1.30pm. Family flowers only please.
