JohnOAKLAND(Leam Lane & Felling) John passed away peacefully on 28th January 2024, aged 73 years.
Devoted husband of the late Liz, dearest dad of Rob & Richie and special father-in-law to Sharon & Louise, treasured granda of Nicole, Jack and Lucas, brother of Jean and the late Alan, uncle of Gail, Diane, Alison, Nicola, Tracy and Dawn. John will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him, including his two precious dogs, Jeff and Brian.
Friends are invited to join John's family at his funeral service on Friday 16th February at St Mary's Church, Heworth at 10:30am, followed by burial within Heworth Burn Cemetery at 11:15am. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu will be received on the day with proceeds going to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Critical Care Team.
