James EricO'CONNORWith broken hearts we announce the passing of James Eric O'Connor, who sadly passed away on the 6th May 2026.
Words cannot describe the loss we are feeling at this time. James was a kind and caring man who loved and adored his family. He always tried to make the people around him laugh and often greeted everyone with a song.
A loving and devoted husband to Susan, their love story spanned 63 years of marriage.
Father to James, John and Joanne; father-in-law to Lynne and Mark; grandfather to Ryan and his wife Charlotte,
Kyle and his partner Larissa, Callum and his wife Laura, Jake and his wife Demi, Keely, Kerry, Dimos, Taylen, Alexander and Trinity-Rose; great grandfather to Olivia, Archie, Mia, Mason, Sienna, Leo, Max and Brooke;
brother to the late Patrick and his wife Anne; uncle to the late Wayne, Dean and Paul and a good friend to many.
James was born in Dublin, Ireland and after serving in the Army as a cook he settled in the U.K. where he worked in the G.E.C and L.T.I to name just a few. A consummate grafter he was the hardest working person we knew.
Never shying away from a job no matter how difficult.
James battled multiple illnesses for the last 25 years of his life and he was definitely the 'come back king' from every trial sent his way. His wife was always by his side, true love and devotion shown to the very end.
He will be greatly missed by all. Life will not be the same without him.
The coffin will arrive at St Mary's and St Benedict's Church, Raglan Street, Coventry, CV1 5QF on the 16th June at 4pm followed by a small service and the funeral will take place on the 17th June at 11:45am followed by the burial
at 1:30pm at Lentons Lane Cemetery, Shilton Lane, Coventry, CV2 1AA.
Please feel free to bring flowers to be laid at the grave if you so wish.
