IanOGLEIt is with great sadness that we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of Ian on 12th October 2026, at Castle Hill Hospital, Hull, aged 80 years.

A loving husband to Kate, a devoted father to Michael and James, and a much-loved Grandad. Ian will be deeply missed by his twin brother Allan, his sister Ann & his many family members and friends.

A funeral service to celebrate and remember Ian's life will take place at 12 noon on Tuesday 3rd November 2026, at Woodlands Crematorium, Scunthorpe.

No flowers, please. The family kindly requests that donations in Ian's memory be made to Crowle and Ealand Regeneration Project Ltd and can be left at the service or sent c/o: R. Wallace & Son Funeral Directors.

Those attending are invited to wear smart-casual clothing.

Forever loved, fondly remembered and greatly missed.

Dear Kate & family you are in our thoughts at this sad time.
We will remember Ian fondly, lovely man, always pleasant, he loved to have a chat. Being a twin myself we had a special connection in that he would on occasion introduce me as ‘we are twins you know’ ‘but not to each other’ I would say. 😉
