Doris EileenOLDLANDDoris passed away at the age of 100 on 13th July 2023. Doris was a much loved mum, sister, gran, great granny Doris, "SuperGran", and Aunty Doll. She grew up in Bristol, in St John's Lane, Bedminster, and in the war years she lived in Yeovil and Scotland serving in the WRENS. In 1947 she married Herbert (Bert) and moved to Whitehall in Bristol, where they raised their son John. She later lived in Charlfield, Wotton-under-edge, and North Nibley in Gloucestershire, before moving to Wimbledon in London to be near family. Her last days were in Moorhouse nursing home in Surrey close to her son John, where her extended age finally took her from us. The funeral will be held at Aldershot Crematorium (GU12 4BP), on the 3rd August at 1.30, with a celebration of her life at the Crown Inn in Arford (GU35 8BT) afterwards. Family flowers only but donations to Dementia UK or the RNLI will be welcome.
