MelvinORDBattle Hill Formerly of Backworth, peacefully in hospital on 8th April aged 81 years. Beloved husband of Elizabeth, dearly loved dad to Andrea, Elizabeth & Karl also a loved father in law, grandad & great grandad. Friends please meet for service & cremation at Whitley Bay Crematorium on Friday 26th April at 10.30 am. family flowers only please donations in lieu if desired to the Childrens Heart unit fund at The Freeman Hospital (CHUF) for which a donation box will be available at the service.

So sad to hear you had gone Mel (I’ll be getting wrong off Elizabeth calling you Mel in stead of Melvin) when I saw Elizabeth’s notice also.

Melvin was such a lovely man. He always had a smile on his face. Going to miss my kisses 💋 don't think we did get up to 80 as promised ha. Sleep tight Melvin! Sending love and hugs to your family at this sad time ... thinking of you all xxxx
