Aw, Annie, you've been a lovely friend since we met at work in the early 70's. That's when you
asked me to see you singing at the Station Hotel in Newcastle. As I walked down the street I could hear your amazing raunchy voice, such volume, such an amazing voice. Many times since then I've seen you singing and knew how much you gave your all to every song. When I lived in Alston Cumbria I got you a gig at the town hall, the night being arranged by 'Candle Ted' the local candle maker. I've still got the photos of Eric playing harmonica in my cottage in the Butts. The rest of the band were there and some of my friends as well. Great atmosphere, nowt like a party after a gig. You were always close to my heart and my family, daughter, granddaughters and great grandkids listened to you singing on the internet. They will all be so sad you've passed away. Eric must be devastated. Last time we saw each other was when you lived in Whitley Bay and we always kept in touch, right through your illness as well. You said you would love to come to my new home in Hexham in the spring, sadly that's not to be. Annie you were a brilliant and talented woman and a great friend. I'll miss you so much, god bless you.
