JackieOSBORNE"Jackie" Barbara Osborne of Links View, Lytham St Anne's (Formerly of Westbourne, Helmshore) died peacefully age 85 years at Blackpool Victoria Hospital on Sunday 9th February 2025 surrounded by her close family, following a sudden illness.
Born in Manchester, Jackie started her life as a professional dancer and went on to become a "Tiller Girl" performing with the renowned dance troupe across many venues in the 1950's/60's including the London Palladium and performing overseas, alongside Sir Bruce Forsyth and Sir Cliff Richard to name a few.
Whilst dancing, she met and married her beloved late husband "Gerry" Gerald Osborne who was a musician, after many happy years living in Cheadle they both relocated to Rossendale in the mid 1980's after the opening of eldest daughter Fiona's salon "Ashley-Mayne" on Deardengate, Haslingden.
Jackie was well known as chair-woman of the Haslingden Pensioners Club on Manchester Rd for many years & was also an avid member of the Helmshore Ladies Club and Rossendale Supper Club and lived at Westbourne between 2012-2021.
In her later years, Jackie filled lots of her time supporting her daughter Fiona with the parenting of her twin grandchildren William and Charlotte whom she utterly adored and moved over to Lytham St Anne's in her final years to be closer to them.
Jackie also loved to travel, cruise, socialise and enjoyed good company.
Jackie is survived by her three children Fiona, Jason & Amelia and seven grandchildren Louisa, William, Charlotte, Jack, Myles, Esme and Hugo. She will be very sadly missed by all who knew her.
A service will be held at Lytham Park Crematorium on Tuesday 11th March at 11:30am following a "Celebration of life" at Fairhaven Golf Club afterwards. Donations to Blue Skies Hospital Fund.
