Elsie was a wonderful lady who was a perfect neighbour for over 20 years. Her beautiful garden brought much joy and was admired by many. She loved children and would always play a tune on the piano- 'Daddy's little sweetheart' and even play football with my children. Always kind and generous with the biscuits; no wonder Leon wanted to call in to see you most days after school. We have great memories of you joining our birthday and Christmas celebrations. Eve loved baking special cakes and sweet treats for her. Elsie, will always have a special place in our hearts. Love from all at 11 Orchard Rise, Blythe Bridge

Aunty Elsie and Uncle Geoffrey were a great source of inspiration to us as we grew up. We alway received amazing educational books at Christmas. When we visited their home in later years as adults you would always get a tour of the garden and get introduced to all the plants. It’s lovely to think she is finally back with uncle Geoffrey again.

This is more about celebration than any great sadness.
My lasting memory is getting an educational book at Christmas from Uncle Geoffrey and Autie Elsie and writing a thank you letter.
We were shown great kindness when we stayed at their house when my youngest sister Gill was born back in the 60s.
