Our dearest Ray, passed away in hospital on the 5th of July, after a short illness.
Ray was born in Longbridge, and after many happy adventures over the years living in different places, he finally returned to retire, back in Turves Green. He was very settled and happy at Saxon Court. Many people knew him for the years he worked as a Residential Warden in Kings Norton, and Knowle, where he helped all of the residents and made many friends. He will be deeply missed by his life long companion, friends, and family. Always a loving brother and uncle, his kindness and help touched many lives.
The funeral is at Lodge Hill Cemetery, on 29/07/2024 at 11.30. He requested "no flowers" but donations in his name would be gratefully received. Donations can be made at the service or via Ray's Memorial Page to his chosen charity MacMillan Cancer Support. Go to https://raymond-ottley.muchloved.com
