I had the pleasure of working with Dave for the past 6 years, we both shared a passion for engineering and the roles we did but it become much more than that. We grew to become great friends learning and speaking about everything from families to fighter jets and everything in between.
Everything he did was with passion and he was always so positive. He never hesitated to help anyone who asked, which included me. There’s many of times he picked up some extra hours when I needed to be off last minute. As much as we never met each other’s families face to face we knew everything about each other’s families.
He was a selfless man in all aspects in life and showed that with the great care and relationship he had with his parents, family and friends. I certainly learnt a lot from him in both my personal and professional life.
He was so proud of his daughters and always smiled when he mentioned them. He certainly cherished the ‘dad can you help me with this’ moments.
His love and happiness was always displayed when speaking about Helen, Ben and Jade and the his grandchildren he truly loved and appreciate them in his life more than you can imagine.
I know I can truly say Dave was happy in life, never a negative or bad word to say about anyone. You will be greatly missed not only in your families hearts but in mine and the hearts of everyone within Jungheinrich and Nisa. The workshop really isn’t the same without you.

Well Dave worked at jungheinrich I became his apprentice it was then I relished what an intelligent man he was, and how he made time to share that with me and anyone who asked. The time I spent with Dave at nisa has been valuable and treasured time that I used you build a career and also get to know a great man. I used to be fascinated by his interest in fixing laptops and phones, and him teach me skills I wouldn’t necessarily learn as part of my apprenticeship such as helping him build a telescopic heat table from scratch to seeing it work exactly how he said it would was quite a special memory I’ll always have of my time with Dave. Other good memories will be that time when apprentice becomes master and Dave needed my help it only happened twice but a proud moment from me and am sure one for Dave. The rest are mostly spent round the coffee machine with Dave talking about all sorts mainly me picking his brain about how to do things at home, not only will I miss you from my personal life where you was grandad to Nellie who is developing a likening for planes and sure you would of embraced with her. But ill miss you at work you’ll forever remain my mentor RIP Dave
