The obituary notice of John Geoffrey PALMER

John befriended me with his characteristic humor and smile from my first appearance at Julie’s Dover Active for Life group a few years ago. He put up with extraordinary physical challenges with remarkable fortitude, not only regularly attending our usual group, but extra classes, too, and the weekly local walks then offered by the Leisure Centre. He was the one who most encouraged me to join Julie’s Spring and Christmas tea and dinner parties, even when one could not partake in the edible fare on offer. He took great delight in usually winning most of the prizes in the raffles. John’s passing is a loss for all of us.
