Raimondo GiovanniPAOLILLODad, even though it's been 26 years ago today, since you passed away,
we both still think and talk about you every single day.
It's still very hard to believe that it's been this long, without you here.
Especially for pivotal moments, like not being able to walk us down the aisle,
which you would have loved to have done, proudly.
After all of these years since your passing, at just 63 years young,
and then having to cope with the immense grief and pain,
of not just losing our father, but everything else that we had to manage and endure,
on top of all of that, before and after you passed away, including the funeral,
to this day, still greatly affects all of us and we know it will you too, looking down,
then and now, in disbelief.
But, no matter what was said and done to us all, at that time,
we still would have done anything and everything, which we did,
to be with our Dad, right up until the end.
We know that would have been what you would have wanted,
more than anyone else, and would have made you so proud of us, to fight for it all.
We have a new memorial planned for your 30th Anniversary,
and we are all so sure you will love and agree with it more, as much as all of us do,
with the truer meaning of words being mentioned,
to honour your memory, just as you left us, and to those to who you have missed the most... as a Father, Father in law, Grandfather and a friend to many.
David's birthday, being the same day as yours, makes it even more of a special memory,
and a reminder of it also being your special day.
We hope you are proud of us all up there, including all the new family members,
of husbands and grandchildren, that you never got to meet.
We love and miss you very much.
