StellaPARKERof Cherry Tree Lodge, Rawtenstall, formerly of Edenfield, passed away on Friday, September 9, aged 87. Stella was a retired lecturer at Accrington and Rossendale College, and also Lancaster University. She also spent 13 years in Greece teaching English to Greek children. She was a keen member of Edenfield Parish Church and at Bury Parish Church, where she volunteered in the cafe. Stella was always there to help her family and friends. She leaves twin children Michael and Antoinette, grandchildren Emma and Molly, brother Peter and sister-in-law Sheila, brother Charles, and nephews and nieces. Her funeral will take place on Thursday, September 22 at Edenfield Parish Church at 10.30am conducted by Reverend Sue Wood. This will be followed by a cremation at Accrington Crematorium at 11.40am. Family flowers only; donations to be made to Cherry Tree Lodge. Donations can be made at www.fredhamer.co.uk (tributes and donations).
