We so value our connections with the Lewis/Parkin family and offer our sincere condolences upon the passing of Lily. Clearly she was strong and great lady that enjoyed a life well lived. The Granger family fondly remembers our visits with Lily and the Lewis family when she traveled to Canada...particularly at Christmas time. In the earlier years those visits included Aunt Sylvia. They introduced us to Scotch Eggs...and how to make them! It was during those fun times that we connected our own British heritage with Lily and her family here in Canada. Lily's gifts and legacy will live on and flourish through Kathy, Geoff, Emma, Vanessa and Simon....and all their children. Sincerely, from (some of) Lily's friends in Canada....Elaine, George, Heather, & Megan Granger

I don't even know where to start. So many memories of you Big Mama, for both Cohen and I. Trips to the candy store and top shops. Taking Vanessa, Simon and I to the Bingo even when kids weren't allowed but we were from Canada so rules were broken. Giving me my first ever ride on a double decker bus and riding the donkeys. Bathing in big sinks at the caravan. Starting my love of Beano comics that was then passed on to Cohen. Filling up your hot water bottles and raiding your amazing collection of matching flannel pajamas. Monster Munch and Quality Street fuddles watching Coronation Street while you muttered "OOOHHHH that David Barlow!" under your breath. Most of all, sitting with you in your sun trap backyard talking about memories of Pops who I know you are with and who you have wanted to be with for so long. If we can't have you here with us, there is peace in knowing you are reunited. Love to Mum, wish we were there with you, Uncle Andrew and Auntie Sue, Uncle Barrie and Auntie Linda and Janine, Carl and the girls.

When I was a young child and Mama was still able to come and visit us in Canada I remember walking home from school with an extra skip in my step, feeling badly for all the other kids because they weren't going home to get a hug and a cuddle from the greatest grandma of all time. Mama taught us to be kind to all people and speak out for those who struggle to defend themselves, to be kind to animals, and to cherish your family. She demonstrated an undying love for my Pops that never wavered and she was a role model to me not to settle in my own relationships which is why I married my best friend. Mama you will always be in my heart. I have so many amazing memories of you and will make sure Charlie hears all about what an incredible and beautiful person his great grandma was. I hope you find rest and are reunited with Pops. Thank you for sticking around for all of us for so long. Your legend will live on in all of us. Love to my amazing family (I don't get to see nearly enough) Uncle Barrie and Auntie Linda, my fantastic cousins Janine and Carl and their adorable kids Mya and Harper, and to my wonderful Uncle Andrew and Auntie Sue. Love you all so much. Love to my inspiring Mum who is to Charlie what Mama was to me. "Oh go on then!" (my favourite Mama saying) xoxo

Big Mama. She was not big in stature but her heart was huge, so full as it was with love and caring. Mind you, she could also be ornery and had no problem in speaking her mind.
Family was everything to Big Mama and woe betide anybody who displayed negativity towards them - a trait she passed on to Kathy. I loved her for that.
Her unconditional love for Kathy, Emma, Vanessa and Simon played a big part in the shaping of their characters. I loved her for that.
While the Atlantic separated her from her great-grandchildren in Canada, she managed to let them know she thought of them constantly and loved them dearly. I loved her for that.
She was my mother-in-law, but from day one she treated me like one of her own with a generosity of spirit beyond measure. I loved her for that.
Whenever I visited, she always made sure I had my cow pie. I really loved her for that.
To say she will be greatly missed would be an understatement, but she will always have a special corner of my heart.
Goodbye, Mama. Remember me to Pops.

We love you so much, Big Mama. Thank you for loving all of us so well and so completely. Thank you for standing up for people of all abilities (and shaking your cane at those who don't). Thank you for your Gold Dust impersonation, and for loving wrestling. Thank you for waking me up early and sneaking me into your room when I was 5 to give me a present. Thank you for toasted cheese sandwiches and bus rides to Conestoga Mall. You lived so far away, yet held such a close place in my heart. Sending big love and support to Mum, Uncle Andrew and Auntie Sue, and Uncle Barrie and Auntie Linda. Sending big hugs to Janine and Carl, Mya and Harper.
