ValeriePARRYWe are sad to announce the sudden passing on Saturday 26th August 2023 at Morriston Hospital of Val, formerly of Aberdare.

Loved wife of David, mum to Samantha and Victoria, mother-in-law to Pete and adored grandma to Dylan, Marcus and Scarlett. Val will be greatly missed by her many friends.

Funeral Friday 22nd September, service 1.00 pm at St. Hilary's Church Killay, prior to committal 2.30 pm at Swansea Crematorium.

Family flowers only, donations in memory of Val may be made payable and sent directly to; Cancer Research UK, PO Box 1561, Oxford, OX4 9GZ.

I’m so very sorry to hear of the passing of Val and my heart felt thoughts are with David, Sam and Vic along with their families at this time. Val’s parents and her brother Geraint played a big part in my childhood as I lived next door, Val had already moved away to live with David but it was always a special moment for me when Val and David visited and then later with Sam and Vic also. I particularly remember the christmas times spent altogether. Brings back happy memories even today. My deepest condolences Neil Airey

Val was a very special lady who will be missed by many. I know Dave and her children/ grand children will miss her desperately and they were her world. We have many wonderful memories when out children were growing up together that we will remember forever. Love always, Sheila and all the family xxx

Dear Sam, Vic, Dave and family - thinking of you all.
I thoroughly loved my first time in Swansea in circa 1999. In addition to the beautiful Welsh hospitality, scenery and wonderful ice cream, one of my strongest memories of that visit was Val's weather enforced inside picnic spread; where I was introduced to amazing homemade scotch eggs (veggie one's too - Val was clearly so ahead of the curve!). I now love making my own scotch eggs and it was all down to that visit and gastronomic introduction. Sending love and happy memories, Lisa and family x
