AlanPARTRIDGEAlan passed away on Friday 23rd December after a long, debilitating time suffering with dementia. The family wish to pay tribute to the wonderful carers at Charnwood House who took him in to their hearts. Alan was much loved by his wife, Glenda and children Simon, Matthew and Sarah. Adored Dadcu of Elli, Harry, Catrin, Lilja, Bill and Aoife. Beloved brother of Gaynor Sharp and much respected uncle of Tom, Jack and Will. Alan taught Maths at The Woodlands School and then for over 25 years at Sidney Stringer School. Stalwart of the Old Wheatleyans Rugby Club and one of the founders of the Corner Pocket Jazz Club. So proud of his Welsh heritage, 'Gorffwys yn dawel nawr mewn hêdd, perffaith hêdd.' 'Now rest quietly in peace, perfect peace.' Funeral to take place on Thursday 19th January at 12:15 Charter Chapel, Canley Crematorium. Alan taught me Maths at Sidney Stringer School between 1995-1999. He was a brilliant teacher who always strived for his students success. Will be truly missed.
