Barry JohnPASHLEYBarry John Pashley, of Draycott, passed away after a short illness at the Royal Derby Hospital on the 26th January 2021, at the age of 36. Dearly beloved son of Michael and Susan, his mum passing away a few days before. Much loved brother of Gareth and David. Dearly loved grandson of Hannah and beloved nephew of his late Aunty Anne and of Uncle Gordon Barry was warm hearted, funny and kind. He was a much loved member of the local community, with friends in many of the local sports teams and clubs, at his favourite local pubs and also at the local Treetops Hospice Care charity shop where he was a volunteer. He will hugely missed by many in the village. It will be a simple cremation, so no flowers, if you so wish donations in lieu and in Barry's memory can be made to the Nightingale Macmillan Unit at RDH and Treetops Hospice Care here: www.justgiving.com/team/pashley Michael, Gareth and David

I first met Barry and David when I moved to the village 10years ago. I enjoyed watching them play sport between our houses. Barry was always polite and kind and made me feel welcome. In recent years its been lovely playing pool with Barry, enjoying a drink, and chatting to him in Tree Tops where he worked hard.

Barry, you were a unique, gentle, giving person who I feel honoured to have known. Thank you for brightening many a day by simply being you. I miss you.
