RadfordPAULIn Loving Memory of Paul Anthony Radford

Born 7th February 1948

Passed away 7th February 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Paul, age 77, who peacefully left us on the 7th of February in Torquay, Devon.

Paul was a cherished husband, father, grandfather and friend.

He will be remembered for his warm heart, enduring competitiveness, and unwavering love for the sun and the beach. His happiest moments were spent basking in the sunshine, walking along the shores, and enjoying paddling his feet in warm seas.

He is survived by his wife, Veronica, his two children, Nicola and Philip, and his grandchildren Elena, Ben and Serafina.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the RSPB (http://paulradford.muchloved.com) in Paul's memory. Alternatively cheques made payable to the charity may be sent to the address below.

Rest in peace, Paul. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

I was at school with Paul at Street Strode Secondary Modern. We were in the same class. We were friends out of school and both at that time lived in Walton. We remained close friends until he joined the Navy and I joined the Royal Air Force.
We reconnected later when we both lived in Weston-super-Mare.
Much later I visited his home in Torquay.
Unfortunately we lost touch. This morning I thought about him. I couldn't find him on social media so searched for him and found this obituary.
Sad loss for everyone who knew Paul.
I would like to reconnect with Veronica.

In all the years I knew Paul and competed against him (infuriatingly) at various sports and games, I think I beat him at table tennis just a couple of times, likewise badminton, field archery hardly ever, and poker and various card games never. He was a tough nut to crack, was Paul, and Sunday evening card game nights will never be the same now. Nor will anything, I think. RIP Paul.
