Thomas WilliamPEARSONTOM passed away peacefully at his home, aged 84 years on December 21.
A devoted and much-loved husband of Enid, a loving and loved dad to Ann, a cherished grandad to John and Charlotte, and a proud great grandad to Noah, Penelope and Ivy, Tom was also a respected and valued friend to many.
Tom spent his working life in insurance sales and service, where he became a well-known and trusted face to all his clients. He was truly dedicated to his work, often going above and beyond, and took great pride in what he did. A people person by nature, Tom loved spending time in the company of others and would happily chat about anything to anyone, always showing a genuine interest in other people's stories. Highly organised with a meticulous eye for detail, everything had its place, and Tom had his own well established way of doing things.
He greatly enjoyed acting and singing and was a former member of Oswaldtwistle Amateur Dramatic Society, as well as a member of All Saints' Choir and the Hyndburn Singers. A devoted family man, Tom always looked forward to time spent with his family and was immensely proud of their achievements in life. Tom enjoyed holidays, spending many happy times at his favourite UK destinations, including North Devon and Keswick, as well as enjoying many wonderful cruises.
He loved to keep busy and generously gave much of his time supporting various charity projects. He was an active member of the Freemasons, Albert Edward Lodge, and was also a keen knitter, often found in his chair making dishcloths.
Family flowers only by request, donations are being gratefully received in Tom's memory on behalf of North West Air Ambulance and All Saints' Church. Funeral Service will be held at All Saints' Church, Clayton-le-Moors on Tuesday, January 6 at 11.30am followed by Interment at Old Langho Cemetery.
