ValeriePECKPeacefully on Friday 23rd June 2023 after a short illness Val aged 88 years sadly passed away. Beloved wife of the late Gordon. Proud mum to Caroline and Beverley, loving mother-in-law to David and Toby. Devoted nanna to Ruth and her husband Tim, Charlie and Elvis. Cherished Great nanna to Jack. Val was also an auntie and a popular lady who will be greatly missed. A celebration of Val's life will be held at Grimsby Crematorium on Monday 10th July at 9.00 am. No flowers please by request, however donations in Val's memory to The Guide Dogs for the Blind and The Blue Cross Animal Hospital may be sent to Steven Near Funeral Directors 36 Wellowgate Grimsby DN32 0RA. So very sad to learn of Val's illness and the family's subsequent loss.
I will always remember Val's no-nonsense warmth and how she remained as spirited as she was 40 years ago; and vigorous despite losing Gordon and her eyesight failing. A lady who will always be remembered, admired and loved xxx
