BrianPEELIt is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Brian on the 15th November 2024 aged 89 years at Mapleford Nursing Home in Accrington.
He was a much loved and devoted husband to Audrey who he leaves behind, along with his three children, Stephen, Karon and Lindsay. He also leaves behind his younger sister and brother Kath and Eddie, and his grandchildren Justin, Gemma, Rowen, Kinsey and Josh.
Although a joiner and cabinet maker for Shopfitters in Accrington for 29 years, he had a number of jobs following their closure including installing disabled adaptations in peoples homes working for Homewise, a bus driver for Ribble Buses and once saving the life of one of his passengers who suffered a heart attack. His last job taking him up to retirement was a a civilian driver for the Police.
He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
The funeral service will take place on Friday November 29th at Accrington Crematorium at 2.20pm followed by a reception at the Whittakers Arms.
The family have requested family flowers only, with donations are being received to Dementia and Cancer UK charities.
