My dear Uncle David. You fought so incredibly hard right up until the end with so much strength and courage. You were someone truly special to me - someone who meant so much more than words could ever explain. You were a huge part of my life, and your place in my heart will never be filled.

I miss your kindness and all the little things that made you who you were. I’m so grateful for all the memories we shared, from my childhood through to the years of having children of my own. I feel so lucky to have had you be such a special part of my life, and I’ll treasure those memories forever. I just wish we had so much longer with you.

Rest peacefully, Uncle David. You fought so bravely, and I hope you are finally free from pain and reunited with Uncle Stefan, Grandma & Grandad.

I will carry you with me in my heart, always.
