Dad
My exceptional dad I am going to miss you and our chats more than you will ever know. We never got enough time together due to distance and recently covid. Words cannot explain how i feel at the loss of you. We both loved history. you got me hooked on my family history and heritage early on in my younger years. Times spent with you Sandra me and Nick and once joined by Pat Sandra's brother and my cousin Clayton on our annual Cornwall summer holidays. Taking on the Ryders at cricket at Egloshayle or Carnation park. Roaming the countryside for miles in hot weather nothing to drink! You would be pointing out all the boyhood haunts and talking about family life. Always fantastic with exception of the drought of I think 1977 we had to find your aunt Lils farm before we all flaked out. As well as losing Nick in a large forest of Conifers to contend with. I will remember your fantastic but at times naughty humour. You had an open minded laid back personality. A love of Manchester but useless DIY skills with exception of the red wishing well you built in Mednemham with Sandra mine Nicks Carol and Stephens help.
I was so proud to have you walk me down the aisle on my marriage to your favourite son in law Richard the Arsenal fan. We then being then able to provide you with two Grandchildren Nicole & James and then two great grandchildren Oliver and Elana.
I hope you are with all your family enjoying darts with grandad James, not teasing nan too much and having banter with Ivor and John.
God Bless Dad
Love you always
Jacqueline
