Peter RoyPERDUE(formerly of College Road, Crosby and Liverpool Road South, Maghull) Passed away on 2nd March 2023 aged 88. Peter's family are sad to announce the loss of a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Peter was Headmaster at Maghull High School for 27 years before retiring in 1999 and was a member of The Northern Club, Crosby for over 50 years. Mr Perdue joined Ormonde High in 1972 as Headmaster and lead the merger with Old Hall High in 1983 to form Maghull High at a time of falling rolls. He described his pupils and their parents as the best ambassadors, where the focus was upon the individual child, with good academic standards attained. He ensured a rich tapestry of extra curricular activities including sporting clubs, orchestra and choir, dance and drama societies, and exchanges abroad. Peter leaves behind Beverly King his wife of 17 years, 4 children, 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Service to be held at Thornton Crematorium on Wednesday 5th April 2023 at 12:00.
