My Uncle Larry truly was my great uncle. Not just because he was my mum’s uncle, but because he was genuinely a great man, a title he more than earned.
I have so many fond memories of him, especially the times he and my Uncle Bill would drive me out to the lanes to feed the horses and “look for the moon".
I’ll never forget my obsession with the way he said the number “nine,” and he would repeat it over and over again, simply because it made me laugh. His kindness and warmth were effortless.
I always admired the bond he shared with my Uncle Bill — how they were always together, always looking out for one another throughout their lives. There’s comfort in knowing that, even in passing, that bond isn’t broken. I can be at peace knowing they will meet again, reunited, and continue to look out for each other for eternity.
